The CHS’s most important fundraising event of the year, “The Cookeville Cafe' Music & Talent Series” is now in its 3rd year & starts up very soon on November 3rd.
Please help us celebrate the 2012 - 2013 schedules as is booked to date!
The events will continue to start out with a good name feature performance group and follow up with open mic time an event that bring much great talent to our watchful & listening ears.
The season is a little shorter this year by two months but promises to be quality fun time!

The CHS’s “Cookeville Cafe' Music & Talent Series” Schedule for 2012-2013:
Nov 3rd.      "High – Low - Jack" Sarah Hotchkiss on Fiddle, banjo & vocals & John  
                       Mowad on fiddle, guitar banjo & vocals playing old type mountain music  
                       & "hillbilly Jazz. A mixture of string band & swing music.
                        Lively & fun music from earlier times that sounds like it was yesterday,  
                        played by experienced musicians who defiantly were not!
                        Knee slapping, toe tapping, good old time music, southern fried &  
                        Yankee hard boiled.
Dec 8th.         Stove Pipe Mountain Band from Corinth Vermont & surrounding area's......                       
                       Don’t miss this high energy event as most of you know Stove Pipe  
                       Mountain is a hot & very talented band!
Jan. 12th.     The SCO Band" or "Social Club Orchestra". A local & extremely talented      
                       Jazz band from the area featuring Don Sinclair from “Don & Jenn: Jim
                       Musty one of the finest lead guitarist around, John Foster and other fine
                       local and one not so local musician. .
Feb 16th.     Reckless Breakfast with Laura Jean Binkley
Mar 23rd.     Tracie Potochnik & Bill Michalski
                        Original Contemporary Music from Southern New England to your back door!
April 27th.     Tim Brick and his band top notch Country & Western Music out of
                        Montpelier area and now travels wide & far. poster

"Academy History Museum & Cafe opens every Saturday from 10AM to Noon from July 7th to August 25th, 2012
With Cafe refreshments outside the Museum every weekend & on Labor Day as well as Live Music every other weekend.
The dates for Live Music are:
July 7th, July 21st, August 4th, August 18th, and Labor Day Monday, September 3rd at The Agricultural & Trades Museum In East Corinth Village".
